Hi there guys,

Just last night I installed a new Deepcool Maelstrom 120t AIO CPU cooler.

Installation went off without a hitch, and temperatures look fine. Currently in my room at 12*C my temps read core#0 16c core#1 15c core#2 13c and core #3 14c package# 19c

However, when I first boot the computer, for the first 2 or 3 minutes sometimes longer the fan attached to the radiator is constantly starting up/stopping.

It will run for a second or two, then come to a stop, then start up for a split second, then stop, then come on for 5 seconds or so, then stop.

This repeats until randomly it starts spinning and stays spinning.

Should also note only 2 fans (the third being the radiator fan) which are plugged into my motherboard sys_fan slots, show up on HWMonitor UNTIL the fan starts spinning properly. When the fan is doing 1/4 turns or 1/8 turns and looks like its struggling to start up it doesn't show in HWMonitor.

Is this a motherboard issue, fan issue? What steps should I take. Will update the post shortly with temps after gaming. Good excuse to get a few overwatch rounds in lol.

Thanks guys :)

UPDATE: After gaming for a while my max temps read core0 44c core1 47c core2 38c core3 40c package 46c

QUESTION: I have plugged the pump for the cpu cooler into the CPU_Fan slot, and the radiator fan into a sys_fan slot. Is this correct? Or should the pump go into sys_fan and the radiator fan into CPU_Fan.
