Question Default audio device issue

Hello,

How can a certain device be set as Default Device in the sound control panel?

I have the sound card and a virtualizer (Waves NX). Waves NX always sets itself as default device after each reboot.

Is there a way for windows do remember the setting?

What version of Windows 10 are you working with? Make and model of your sound card? Is it the onboard audio chip bundled with a motherboard or a discrete card? Make and model of your motherboard? Might want to check and see what BIOS version you're on at the time of writing. You can use CPU-Z to show you what your current BIOS version is if you're not familiar with hardware/their innards.

10 Pro 21H1. Xonar DGX, ASUS TUF B360-Plus Gaming, 2701 BIOS.

But I think it's fixed now. Not sure how, sometimes it remembers the setting.
