default desktop dual drives

Hi,
My desktop (default) is on C:\SSD and certain programs like Adobe Elements 14 is installed on D:\ HDD. The start menu Elements location is a shortcut to C:\ but desktop icon for Elements is D:\HDD. Is this right? Should I delete or change this path?

If the shortcut is pointing to the EXE file there shouldn't be any issue. The performance that you get from SSD will be lost, but that is all.
