Hello! Everyone, I am new on forum. Recently, a weird problem started to occur with my modem. I searched whole web but I couldn't find any solution so decided to post it.

I am using iBall Baton 150M Wireless-N ADSL2+ Router (Model: WRA150N). Until someday ago, I was able to login simply in my modem configuration page typing 192.168.1.1 address.
Then after sometime page stopped responding, started showing "Connection time out" on browser.
After searching for awhile on web, I did a complete reset of my modem. Problem was solved, but it was temporarily solved. Then I went into Network section from my computer, there I saw my modem, in that I saw device configuration page changed to 192.168.1.1:24576 (Link to screenshot provided).
Sometimes modem gives a error "Object not found, The requested url / not found...." (Link to screenshot provided).
Yesterday, I was unable to see modem in Network section anymore then I did reset again, it showed up but now port number is changed to 192.168.1.1:13408.
On typing "ipconfig /all" only default gateway ip is available but doesn't show any port.
Other than this modem is working fine, I am able to use internet.

Anyone please help me, I don't know whats wrong with my modem. I am using from last 4 years with no problem but now it started showing this issue, I check line status alot on configuration page.

Is the following link the User Manual for your modem?

http://www.iball.co.in/File/Product/Drivers/iB-WRA150N4_User%20Manual.pdf

Use the manual to verify the settings: both those set by you and any left as defaults. Pages 13 and 14 to start with

Check the ADSL Information and the Statistics per Pages 15 and 16.

You can also take a closer look at the LEDs and see if they provide any clues.

There are also some diagnostic options. E.g., the logs and diagnostic tools starting Page 74. The logs may be capturing some problem(s). May need to enable them if that has not already been done.

And look at the Port settings Page 53 - see if there is some clue or information related to the source of the changes on the device configuration...

When you reset your modem did you also change the default login and password?

Are you in an environment with other users and wireless networks around?

Have you installed any new software: appliations, games, utilities, etc.?

Have you run any AV scans - just as a matter of elimination?

Are you aware of any firmware updates?

Check the manufacturer's website to see if there is a newer update.

Could be that the modem is nearing EOL and, as a result, having problems.

1. Yes, some of my neighbors have wifi near my house.

2. Nope.

3. Yes, I did scan with both avast antivirus and malwarebytes anti malware. Nothing found to be suspicious.

4. My modem hardware version is 2.0.0 and on manufacturer website there is a firmware available but for 3.0.0 hardware. Therefore, I cannot flash it. But my firmware is updated for hardware 2.0.0.

You may be right sir, there is a possibility that modem is nearing EOL, after all i have been using it since last 4 years. As a last option I will have to buy a new modem, if problem can't fixed.

Thanks for reply!

Plus check your splitter and the RJ-11 telephone wires coming in and out. Would not expect a Physical Layer to manifest the problem you are experiencing per se. However, it is best to be as comprehensive as possible to eliminate any possibilities especially if that elimination is easily done.

And, likewise, unless you know you have IPv6 turn that off also on.

EOL is remains a valid concern. Yet it is well worthwhile to make the effort to prove that to actually be the case. And you will learn more about networking in the meantime.

Here is the exact link of my modem model: http://www.iball.co.in/File/Product/Drivers/iB-WRA150N%202.0.0%20User%20Manual.pdf

But contents are almost similar, so I followed all your steps. Some of them were already tried.

By default TCP/IP settings were set to "Obtain IP address automatically". Still just to try I disabled DHCP in modem and put manual configuration in TCP/IP settings. No changes were seen, problem remained same. About disc setup, I lost my disc 2 years ago LOL.

ADSL Information and other Statistics are normal as before.

LEDs are normal as well. About LEDs I would like to share one incident, 1 month ago my modem started behaving odd, it kept on restarting itself in every 10 mins. It persisted till 3-4 days then it was fixed automatically.

In Diagnostic Section, there is just a ping tool. Logs are same as before, doesn't show any issue related to ports.

About Port settings, already tried both methods RIP1 and RIP2 (Both Broadcasting and Multicasting as well). No changes were observed.

Just to be sure, using new RJ-11 cables but problem still persists.

About IPv6, I am unable to find anything related to IPv6 on my modem. I guess its not supported by neither modem nor by my ISP.

I also tried in assigning a static IP address in DHCP table by changing settings from "auto" to "static". No changes were observed.

Are you using wired or wireless to access and configure the modem's webpages/setting?

And if you click the Device Webpage link as shown in your "After Issue" image then you do get into the webpage - correct? And webpage access is also successful if you use that 192.168.1.1:xxxxx IP address - correct?

What are your Quick Start Settings per Page 13?

Can you confirm that they are configured per your ISP? I.e., the VPI, VCI, and Connection Type values.

Check the timezone setting as well - just for good measure.

NOTE: Do not need and please do not post Username and Password.

I am trying to identify the source of the :24576 and :13408 values. Could be from your ISP.

Overall there was some problem that started it all. That problem got fixed (?) but the reset process may have not been complete or some other error introduced and simply confused matter.

Using wired (Ethernet/RJ45 cable) to access, configuration page. Tried wireless method as well, but failed because on desktop I can at least check port number via that Network section of Computer. On Android its not possible to check that port number, if it is known through PC I can enter via my smartphone as well.

Yes, on clicking on that Device Webpage I am able to access configuration page. 192.168.1.1:xxxxx address works as well.

Here are quick start settings:

Although while configuring modem via Quick Start Wizard, I chose GMT +5:30 i.e. Indian Timezone. But while I was checking time zone it was not set on GMT +5:30, instead while changing it some error showed up. Screenshots are below. Anyway, this time zone issue is very old from the beginning only, it never saved time settings no matter what I do.

ISP cannot be the source of this problem, because when I was taking these screenshots the configuration was opened for about 5 mins then an error showed up "The requested URL '/' was not found on the RomPager server." screenshot for this provided in my first post. After this device also disappeared from Network section in Computer but I was able to use internet normally whether device appears or not. Then to access it again I had to power OFF the device from power button at the back and turn it ON again. I guess I can keep configuration page open for a certain period of time only.

I think I should mark EOL as a valid a solution, there doesn't seems to be any technical issue LOL.

Your first imgur image (d99CCp0.png) is showing a subnet mask opf 255.255.255.255.

Do you have any basis for that value?

I would expect 255.255.255.0

As for the timezone problems that may be a subsequence of not being able to obtain the time from the designated server(s). Possibly because of the subnetting being applied....

Those statistics shown in first image are from ISP side, IP address, gateway, subnet. In third image (nACnP9M) from my side I already used 255.255.255.0 as subnet value.

I too am facing this issue. Also, I too have the same iBall Baton 150M Wireless N ADSL2 + Router.
iB-WRA150N (harware 3.0.0).
It have been using the same modem for over 2 years.
This type of issue is strange.

Though internet works but the speeds are drastically low ~10KBps.
I have to turn off modem and reset it every time to log in to 192.168.1.1 and then after a few minutes, it again refuses to connect and gives Rompager error.
