On my new Asus N56JR with 64 bit Windows, to access the extra function key shortcut on the F1 - F12 keys such as mute, wifi toggle, screen brightness, etc, I need to hold down the "fn" key.
There was similar behavior on my old HP laptop, but there was a toggle in BIOS to default to the extras and require fn for the normal keys.
Is it possible to do that with this Asus? I saw that some other models allow the toggle with shift+fn+num lock, but that does not work for me.
If not, what might be a good replacement? I was thinking of using AHK for this, but I'm not sure if the fn ky has a code or the extra keys for that matter.
