Question Default USB operation Android 10

Hi. I have a new Android 10 tablet. Every time I plug into PC, I have to go to settings search for USB and change from no transfer to file transfer.

Is their a way of defaulting to file transfer.

I have even been told to scrowl down to the about tablet and tap 7 times to enter developer mode. Crazy.
