Defective Graphics card?

Hi, I'm currently building a gaming PC and upon start up my graphics card doesn't seem to work. Not even the fan is spinning, but you can feel it heat up. What did I do wrong? Also nothing appears on the monitor. The GPU I'm using is Gigabyte Radeon R7 370 2GB WINDFORCE 2X Video Card.

Did you plug in any power leads it may need? Check the rest of the power connectors to the motherboard and other components? Did you make sure the power supply is good enough for the system?
