Question Defective M.2 SSD causes issues after Windows repaired it ?

Hi everyone,

Below I'm going to explain the horrible and honestly weird situation I got with one application that won't anymore due to 3 different errors. Not all errors show up at the same time, but they do every so often when I try to launch the game.

Situation:

2 days ago I was able to run the game, which is Prepar3d absolutely fine and nothing happened. As usual, the day ends and I turn off the PC. The next day when I wanted to fire up the game again I noticed that the drive can't be accessed and the application won't run because of that (not recognized). Windows gave me an error and stating that it had to the repair the drive in question. Windows restarts and repairs the drive. All totally fine, as the drive is working again and is not randomly disconnecting or showing any other weird behavior.

However, now is the part where I honestly don't know to get the answer and how to fix it without having to completely re-install the game as it took me 3 days to do so just 1 month ago (The game includes a lot of scenery addons, etc..) I also don't know if re-installing it is even the way to go as I don't think it's related to the game. I say that because I re-installed the client of the game, which you can separately install. No luck.

The errors in question are:
  1. 0xc0000005. No information whatsoever. The event viewer is unable to tell me what is going on. ( View: https://imgur.com/a/r1nqU87
    )
  2. G2D.dll error. No information whatsoever. The event viewer is unable to tell me what is going on. ( View: https://imgur.com/a/GPLv3uf
    )
  3. GFSDK_Aftermath_Lib.x64.dll error. Again, no information on the error through even the viewer.
I hope this explanation is clear enough and I hope that someone can point me in the right direction to find the culprit.

Please elaborate. Also include a screenshot of what you see in Disk Management. Why do I feel like you've performed an upgrade without reinstalling the OS...?

Please point out which drive, after listing them.

Coolermaster have a number of units under the Master Watt series, which one do you have? How old is this unit?

I've indeed upgraded the system, but I completely wiped all drives from all the data that was on it. Because I'm aware that keeping an install with new hardware isn't the best thing to do. However, the drive in question is a Transcend 110S SSD, 256GB, M.2, PCIe NVME. Initially, it contained my OS but upgraded to a 500 gig drive for some more headroom.

This unit that I'm using is 1 month old. The J and K drive can probably be ignored as they are external hard drives. The cooler has been updated as I named the wrong product.

The topic may be closed as I stopped troubleshooting the drive. I was almost certain it was the drive that gave me the issues and it was much easier to spend 35 bucks just to get a new NVM drive. Even upgrading it to 500GB instead of 250. Thank you anyway!

Reason that I suspected that the drive was faulty is that drive didn't always show up. Opening the drive crashed my PC etc.
