Hi guys,
I recently put 8-10 sheets of what i thought was double-sided matte paper in my
epson 2200 to print.

To make a long story short, the printer grabbed about 3-4 sheets of the paper
while I was taking my shower. The 2nd side wasn't coated (company admits it is
defective).

Now for my problem....the print head is clogged. And I mean major-league
clogged! I've tried the windex trick...several times. I've tried soaking 6
layers of paper towel and putting it on the foam pad overnight to soak.

Any ideas on how to unclog the head or should I just box up the printer and
send it to Epson?

If it is under warranty, I suggest having Epson deal with it.

I'm not fully sire I understand what occurred. Did all that paper run
through the printer at once and the heads were too close to the paper
and were dragging on its surface as it printed? Otherwise, I'm not sure
why the head would have clogged. Was the paper that was at the top
(being printed) coated or uncoated? It is possible if the paper was
coated and the head was scraping it that the coating plugged the
nozzles, I suppose.

You might suggest to the paper company that they has some obligation to
cover any losses you suffer as a result of their paper defect.
