I have a PII 550. Putting it into B50 mode, can not POST. I can go into sleep and get back, I can restart and it'll work fine. It is completely stable btw.
However, if I power off, then power on, and fans spin, and.... black screen. Nada.

If I push the voltage up to 1.4, and lower cpu speed to 2.1GHz it'll POST. WTF does that mean?

^^ LOL at you two you do relize he is talking about a Phenom II x2 550 not a Pentium II when its unlocked into a quad it shows as a B50.

Sparkle not all them x2 Phenoms can use all of the disabled cores they might be defective and that is why you are having issues did you try just unlocking 1 extra core and make it an x3 and see how it fairs. Also before unlocked how far could you OC and was it stable.

By only using the multiplier, I got 4GHz, but it was too close to 1.55, I wanted to stay below 1.5v. I usually use 3.7GHz @ 1.4625.

My cores are completely stable though, It just won't POST, all I have to do is flip the switch on my psu and then it will POST, probably should have mentioned that before.

PII = Phenom II.

How do I only unlock one core?
