Hello fellows,

That might be little stupid question, but i'm actually struggling over that about a month. I have a Panasonic TV on my room, which is simple 1080p 60hz hanged on wall, for watching netflix and movies. My primary monitor is the Dell 27" S2716DG with 2k resolution. I am using them both as duplicated desktop, mainly because I hate the fact my mouse sometimes run away to second screen etc. The problem is, almost every game in my computer identify the panasonic tv as primary monitor, even i'm setting the dell to be it. I have tried to set them to extended, and define primary, still not helps. Tried to turn off the tv while I'm playing, still don't work.

Currently, my only solution is to crawl down under my table and plug out the panasonic in order my games identify my dell, and allow me run on 2k resolutions. The tv plugged in with the HDMI, while the dell plugged with dp3. Its became quite annoying thing because I'm doing it routinely every day and I'm sick of breaking my back every time. Is there any solution for this issue around?

Thank you!

I have three monitors and a TV for my system and I sometimes encounter the same problem. There's probably a better way of doing it but I haven't found it yet so I use this workaround:

1) Extend the second monitor, don't duplicate it.
2) Launch your game, go into the graphics options and set to "windowed" mode.
3) Drag the window from the TV to your 2k monitor.
4) Hit alt-enter to switch back to fullscreen. Alt-enter doesn't always work, sometimes you have to switch back to fullscreen using the game's graphics options.
5) Set the resolution to properly match your 2k monitor. EDIT: If the proper resolution for your 2k monitor is not listed, then close the game and re-launch it and the proper resolution will hopefully be there.

EDIT: You may also need to try borderless window mode too...

That usually works for me and the game usually remembers which monitor to use so I don't have to do that every time I launch the game. But I seem to recall that workaround doesn't always work with every game. Hope it works for you. Maybe someone here knows a more proper method.
