Just a few curious questions I have. How important is defragging in this age of technology? Does the importance matter on the type of file system used or the hardware? In the future will defragging become unneeded?

defragging is not as important as it once was, but you should still defrag on occasion.

The file system you use is sort of important. FAT32 only lets you store files up to 4GBs in size. Windows now uses NTFS (which is a much better file system IMO)
