Defragging Question - Very Slow!!

So I decided to defrag my 2TB Western Digital Black HDD because it was at 37% fragmentation. Note that I've only used about 1/10 of the space. Anyway, for some reason the defragging process very slow (but it shows that it's working), and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that slow.

I started yesterday afternoon and it stopped at 31% and said 1 hr 1/2 left. Now it is the afternoon today and it is at 31% (or so it says) and 1hour left (it's been about a day).

I know the defragementing isn't stuck (I'm using Piriform Defraggler) because it shows each and every file it defragments, and it shuffles through my files and it seems to be defragmenting properly. All in all, I see that the defragmenter isn't frozen and it IS working.

Now I have never defragmented my drive (I've had it for about 6 months). I also did a fresh install of windows and downloaded my software again, and this is my FIRST time defragmenting the drive since then if that helps. I heard first defragments after a fresh OS install and software is a factor on how long it takes.

Now I have disabled my Anti-Virus as well as closed Steam.

I have pretty good specs too:

16GB 1600 HyperX RAM
R9 390 Sapphire Nitro OC
i5 4690
Z97 Gaming 5 MSI Mobo

That sort of thing.

Any help would be appreciated, I want to find out why it's so slow.

Here is a picture of what it's been at since last night http://imgur.com/a/m08G1 (NOTE: IT shows each and every file it's defragmenting, so I know the defragmenter is working properly.)

Nothing is damaged (even Piriform said my HDD was in great shape) my hard drive isn't making any weird noises either. I'm just wondering why it's taking so long. ?I have work to do and I can't be dependent on waiting for the defragmenting :/

I use Piriform Defraggler because the built-in defragmenting softwares aren't that good imo.. office PC's were a pain in the ass to defragment with them before.

Thanks for your response; I also think it's because it's a very large drive and 37% fragmentation is a lot.

I said that the defragmenter was scanning many files; it is working fine, and it scans a file every 1 -2 seconds, but it's taking a while.
