Question Delay on my double click button

Hey so I just bought a mouse which I have already had, since the last one broke. The last one I had no problems with but this new one there seems to be a delay on the "double click" function on the mouse. So for example, if I click with the double click function it takes 1-2 seconds to register the click, this is irritating especially when playing games.

1) Did you download, reinstall, and reconfigure the new mouse's drivers via the manufacturer's website?

2) Go into the Windows Settings screens and check the mouse configuration settings therein:

"WIN" + "I" > Devices > Mouse

Likewise check any other mouse configuration software that may have come with the mouse or some other software/game.
