Delete everything on my HDD

Hello so i got my brand new spanking computer all up and running. everything updated. I have 2 1TB HDDs in my computer. one of them is my old OEM HDD that came with the computer, I know those HDDs are locked and not usable in new rigs. I want to know how i can make that HDD accessible and usable on my new computer as well as delete everything on there so its like a brand new HDD.

Any advice on the subject matter is greatly appreciated.

Verify your boot order, having the new drive first
Connect the old drive
Open Disk Management
Ensure you are referencing the correct drive
Select each partition, Delete
Format the resulting empty space
Done.

check out diskpart.
1)open a command prompt (as admin)
2)type: diskpart
3)then type: list disk

Do you see it listed there?

Does it have a brand name and model number on it?

"Disk 1" is presumably a 120GB SSD?
0GB free is killing that drive life.

disk 2 is your 1TB drive you want to erase. right?
