Under what circumstances is it OK to delete a thread?

1. I've got a few treads in which I was the only poster, and the thread contains no useful info.

2.I started 1 thread to which there were NO related/useful respnses. The thread should be deleted.

There's really no reason to delete a thread unless it's a duplicate, or unless you simply want to. Assuming regular users can delete their own threads, if you want to delete it that's your decision. Of course, moderators will delete a thread when they feel it's necessary as well.

The reasons are given in my posting.

Leaving crappola threads hanging around just causes others to waste their time when perusing a forum.

Hi,

Yes, that could be the case, but determining what threads are "crappola" is subjective. I don't know of many forums that delete threads that aren't specifically violating any rules. That is how this forum operates.
