removed from system and wanting to reformate for another and windows wont delete OEM portion 20+ Gigs of 160 gig SATA

Solution
i usually do this while running the windows installer. when you get the option to chose where to install windows it also gives you the option to manage the partitions and such. from here delete all the partitions and then create one big one and then format and you're ready to go.

i do this often and it has not failed me yet.

I do the same thing, via the Custom option in Windows installation.
