Deleted BIOS on Asus M5A78L-M/USB3, WONT POST!

Right, i tried to update my BIOS to the latest version using the asus update utility.
But what actually happened, was it deleted the bios to make room for the new version (M5A78L-M-USB3-ASUS-1801), which it didn't do successfully and has now put me into a black screen where i cant see anything.

I have removed the battery, cleared the CMOS and all the other usual methods. What i need is either a boot disk where the BIOS can be reapplied without being able to see anything, or something else similar.

Could you please help me? I am very stuck now.

Try inserting the board's DVD and start the PC. If still not working, you can order a BIOS chip from ebay and replace the board's one.

in the very same EXACT situation man with a rampage ii gene motherboard waiting on the chip to get here and praying it will get it up and going!

I'm in the same situation as you! Exact same motherboard and did the same thing, I don't want to pay the 13 bucks for them to ship it on eBay, and I want even less to have to trust one of ebays sellers!

There's no issue if ordering a BIOS chip from ebay. Try ASUS eStore, if in US.
