Deleted complete HDD and partitions

How do i install windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite C50-A172 Intel Core i3 15.6" Windows 8 preinstalled laptop as i have formatted the HDD completely

You should contact Toshiba and see if you can get a recovery disc directly from them. Otherwise, you'll have to purchase a copy of Windows 7 to install.

Most manufactures lock the partitions that contain the OEM software and your recovery files so its a bit tricky to format it all just use a nuking application like DBAN to wipe it all. If i understand you correctly you are trying to replace the factory install Windows 8 with Windows 7 once you have wiped the drive you would have to put in a personal copy of Windows 7 and run the install.
