When I was moving my libraries to my D: drive I somehow created a folder which I put nothing in. I deleted it, but it keeps reappearing.

If I rename it, the folder appears again. I deleted it, cleared registries with CCleaner, and it's still there. I did a full scan with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and they detected nothing. I even tried using Eraser with no luck.

I use Windows 8.1, and my D: drive is a ST2000DM001. The folder is located in D:\ and it has nothing in it.

Greetings!

I too have had this happen and have found that by booting your computer in "Safe Mode" then deleting the file can sometimes make it work...not sure why, but it has at least 5 times for me over the years. Give that a try and see if it does the trick.

Hope this helps!

Booting in safe mode and deleting it did not work. The folder reappeared after I booted in standard.

And yes, I used the locations tab in properties menu to move libraries.
