Deleted my Ubuntu 14.04 partition & cannot access anything other than GNU GRUB

I had multiple partitions on my machine including Windows 8.1. From the diskmanager in windows I deleted the Ubuntu partition. Upon restarting my machine I am met with the following:

GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.7
Minimal BASH like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions.
grub>

I still have the same USB key from which I installed Ubuntu and I simply want to install it again.

I have seen elsewhere solutions for people trying to boot Ubuntu while stuck on this same screen but none of these worked for me. I also am unfamiliar with linux and hard disk paritions and have only been using it for a week or so.

If you want to reinstall ubuntu, simply boot the live cd, use gparted to recreate your ubuntu partition, then reinstall ubuntu on that partition. It will automatically repair grub and you will be able to access all of your OS's again.
If you want to fix the windows bootloader, simply boot your installation media or a repair disk, open a terminal window, and enter the following:
bootrec /RebuildBcd
bootrec /fixMbr
bootrec /fixboot
then restart the computer and windows will boot normally.

in addition to the above, if you wish to recover the data on your deleted partition install testdisk to your USB stick or download the CD version. With that you may be able to recover the entire partition intact or at the very least save your erased files, depends upon how much you've added to your drive since the erasure. If you have little or no data to save just reinstall like you did originally.
