Deleting 3 files

Ok heres the deal, i recieved 3 files from my friend through a messenger..
i saved them onto my desktop, and when i went to open them, theres no preview...
so after seeing this, i just decided to delete the files.
but when i highlighted the files and hit delete, nothing happens...
so i right click to select delete, but theres no delete option..
theres not even the properties tab when i right click on the picture...

how do i get rid of this?

That's really strange. What kind of files are they?

Try this.

I would also scan for viruses/spyware just to be safe too.

its just 3 jpeg pictures on the desktop i cant delete...

nope but i got it to delete...
dumb me didnt even think what if the file was never completed sending to me.....so it was like it was being used up by another process and i couldnt delete it because of that, but i got it now...
