Question Deleting a folder from AppData LocalLow?

Hi, I was having an issue with a game and I read online to go to the AppData folder, LocalLow folder and delete the folder inside there with the game name on after uninstalling the game.

I did this and the LocalLow repopulated with the folder again and the game works well now.

Did I do any damage to my system? Online I see that whilst the folder in LocalLow had the game name on, deleting it could affect other apps and files? Is this true?

Do I need to worry?

Thanks!

Be very very careful about deleting stuff like that.
Online recommendations for things like this are often very wrong.

If it repopulated, you're almost certainly fine.

But there are a LOT of very incorrect tutorials like this.
Some will render the whole OS invalid.

okay thanks, I didn’t realise how serious the folder was until afterwards as it took me through the run command so didn’t realise they were hidden folders. 😅
