It's always highly recommended to backup all your data from the drives somewhere off-site (externally) before tampering with the storage configuration. You can easily format the secondary drive, once you have backed up/copied the data somewhere else. Once you have successfully
formatted the drive from Disk Management, you can simply copy all the data from that HDD back to it. This time - without the Windows 10 OS. This procedure is safe for your SSD, because you will be basically formatting another drive.
If you have applications/software on the secondary HDD, you will need to reinstall them, though.
