Deleting from outbox

Hello,
Have tried to delete messages from outbox in OE with huge attachments in them and have followed suggestions here and can't do it. Novice at this so maybe missing something, but need to get this cleared up. HELP!

Try booting to safe mode without network connect. Then try to delete the mail.
