[SOLVED] Delidded 7700k 5ghz BSOD on certain games

I recently delidded my 7700k. Brought temps waay down even after increasing it to 5ghz with the preset overlocks in the bios. Ive been playing games like Black ops 4, atlas, and PUBG with no issues. But when i play madden 19, about ten minutes into the game i get BSOD with the stop code irql_not_less_or_equal. I ran memory test and nothing showed up. I ended up backing the overclock off to 4.8 and it seems to have fixed the issue. The voltage at 5ghz was 1.38v. I dont remember the exact voltage at 4.8ghz. I have 650w powersupply is it possible that it was drawing to much power and that was the issue?

I was having this exact issue with my 6600k trying to go from 4.6 to 4.7. I got rid of it by adding a touch more voltage, but ended up just going back to 4.6@1.28 As the increased voltage didn't seem worth it for 100mhz. I had to go up to 1.4-1.41.


I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what solutions you may come up with.

I have 650w powersupply is it possible that it was drawing to much power and that was the issue? No , you have plenty of power.
