Hi,
I've been looking for a laptop that I can use for everyday purposes but still be capable of moderate to heavy gaming including games like BF3, F1 2012, CoD: Modern warfare 3, etc. My budget is upto Rs. 65000 (approx. US$1200). After looking at the various options available, I've narrowed it to down to the following configurations:

1) Dell 14r turbo - 3rd gen i5 3210, 4/6/8 GB RAM, Nvidia GT 640M 2GB DDR3, 14", 1366 x 768 HD WLED, 500 GB HDD - Rs. 52000 (US$ 950)

2) Dell 15r turbo - 3rd gen i7 3632, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon 7730 2GB DDR3, 15.6", 1366 x 768 HD WLED, 1 TB HDD - Rs. 62000 (US$ 1130)

3) Lenovo Ideapad Z500 - 3rd gen i5 3210, 6/8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GT 645M 2GB DDR3, 15.6", 1366 x 768 HD LED or 1600 x 900 HD LED, 750 GB/1 TB HDD - Rs. 53000 (US$ 950)

4) Lenovo Ideapad Y500 - 3rd gen i7 3632, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GT 650M SLI 2 GB DDR5, 15.6", 1366 x 768 HD LED or 1600 x 900 HD LED, 1 TB HDD, JBL speakers - Rs. 66000 (US$ 1200)

5) Asus K55VM-SX086D - 3rd gen i7 3610, NVIDIA GT 630M 2GB DDR3, 15.6", 1366 x 768 LED, 1 TB HDD - Rs. 53000 (US$ 950)

Please help me pick out which configuration would be best suited to my requirements. Also I plan to use the laptop for 3-4 yrs. and it may be inadvertently subjected to rough handling so build quality is also a major consideration.

Thanks for taking the time to help out.

lenovo y500 is much more powerful than anything else there. The 650m is the most powerful gpu there and two of them in SLI are about equal to a 670 mx. howver, don't expect more than 3-4 hours battery life from the y500 as optimus is disabled and you are always running the dgpu (two of them)

You can't now how fast the mobile graphics are by looking at model numbers... Even within each card, the performance varies way too much. You have to know exact specifications to know how they perform. Chances are that the GT 650M is the fastest graphics adapter out of the options here, but it's possible that it's not.

for 65k you should eye on Full HD laptops... Dell 15R SE has that variant..not tried it though seems good buy ..... else wait for Samsung chronos to arrive anytime now with 2GB DDR5 8870 & Full HD res its going to be the king of its category by far .... You can also find variants of Sony with Full HD and touchscreen which Dell doesnt provide for its Quad core line up
