Dell 2407WFP

I'm thinking about getting a Dell 2407WFP 24-inch widescreen monitor for my dorm next year. I want to be able to hook up a DVD player, XBox and watch cable TV. Will this monitor allow me to do that? It comes with the following ports: DVI, VGA, Composite Video Connector, S-Video Connecter, Component Video Connectors, USB Upstream Port, 4 USB Downstream ports.

Also, I'm wondering if the Dell 2407WFP or the Gateway FDP2485W is better. They cost about the same and have the same ports. I'll be using this monitor for playing computer games, video games, and watching TV and movies. Thanks.

Yes it will work. I have experience with Dell monitors and love them.

To be honest I can't really give that advice in an educated way. I have seen the Dell and it looks really nice, but I have not seen the Gateway.
