Bought (by mistake) a dell optiplex 790 motherboard from somewhere in the world. Everything is fine and i have a CPU that fits, however i noticed as i was installing it into my case, my case came with 3 pin fans. However looking at the motherboard (grrr.. Dell) i see that it's a five pin connection and my fans can't really fit inside it with the surrounding plastic.
So here's my question. Is there a simple way (tutorial, video, adapter cable somewhere in the great www) i can connect a three pin fan cable to it? I've heard there's simple workarounds but haven't seen an actual tutorial on how.
Any help, links, ebay posts are much appreciated.
I just don't want to send the motherboard back, or deal with selling it trying to find a cheap motherboard that has the connectors.
