Hi so i'm about to buy a dell 790 sff and i was wondering what king of pciex 16 slot does it use.I found online that people put 1050s 750s low pro gpus and that got me wondering does it supply 25W or 75W since the 1050 uses 75W

Solution
Sorry to say but the SFF Dell Optiplex 790 has a 35W GPU Limit on the Motherboard. The best GPU You will get in this system is a 1030. But around the same price you can buy the MT Version which has no GPU Limit and can house some pretty overkill parts. Also you will have issues finding a PSU That fits in the SFF Variants if you ever planned to upgrade it. I'd just get the MT Version or the Dell Optiplex 3010 as they are found cheaper than the 790 for some reason and they have Ivy bridge CPU's not Sandy Bridge.

Thank me later

Buy the Mini tower version. The SFF Versions aren't worth it parts are hard to get for them. Then you know on the MT Version it's Mini ATX Which will take most sized GPU's. SFF Dell's dont work with GPU's well only if the GPU Is low profile under 35 watt

Well thats the main problem.I spoke to a guy who had a dell sff and he said he put a 1050 in it and it worked normaly for him.I'm waiting for an answer on my new thread to 100% know. And yes i know that the sff parts are hard to find i had a hp 7800 but the motherboard died and its not worth fixing-Thanks anyway
