I purchased a Dell Alienware Aurora for my son for Christmas. He cannot play Fortnite it freezes and lags. We had the computer over two week before Christmas so when we opened it and set it up we had problems. We had our house totally upgraded to the best speed and router as they recommended. Again contacting Dell they confirmed that the video card and the processor was not optimal for this game that is why it freezes and lags. We tried to return it and were told we were two days to late. What a scam there are claiming it to be a gaming computer but it can only play certain games. What should we do please help?

Depending on which particular model and combination of options you get, it may or may not be suitable for gaming on some games right out of the box. It is a gaming PC, but, depending on the detailed specs, may not be optioned high enough to handle everything you can throw at it.

When listing the specs, it will also help to tell us what your monitor's resolution and refresh rate are.

Also, make sure the cable to the monitor is plugged into the video card output on the back, and not the output right next to the USB ports (ie: do NOT use #5 on this image)

Instead, where the diagram shows five horizontal panels with a grid of square cutouts (starting below #7), one or two of those should have instead some video outputs, from the discrete video card. You'd want to make sure the monitor is plugged in there.
