Can you increase the dram frequency in bios on a dell optiplex 7040 I installed 3200 but it shows 2100 ?

if the motherboard didn't support 3200mhz jedec or xmp, then it wouldn't run on 3200mhz.

Can you go into the Bios and change the settings , i guess you need to know Dell Bios.

no i don't have a dell device. it's a universal thing. IF you want your ram run at its advertised speed just make sure the Motherboard supports memory overclocking.
