Dell C2Q wksta released today

Today - actually yeasterday - Dell has started offering C2Q workstations. According to Tom' the entry level price of the Precision 690 is

$4000


That is th eentry level price so it look like they are charging close to $1500 for the processor as the same wksta with Core 2 is $1600 less.

I guess next week we'll see what thay are charging for the 4x4 systems. AlienWare is set to debut them and witht heir average prices it wil be close. I priced an AlienWare Aurora 7500 with X2 5000+ and it cam ein around $2900. The second CPU and different mobo may raise the price to $3500 with 4GB RAM.

I can imagine what AlienWare will charge for C2Q.

The first quad price is out and AlienWare should announce their 4x4 system within the week for a price and perf comparison.
