Dell card cage fan

Not working,
Have to hit f1 cont..... got new fan still the same problem. anyhelp will great

Is the fan plugged into the correct socket and wired the right way ? I'd guess it should be attached to the motherboard if the error message is being generated because it can't find the fan.
