Dell computer xps 400 questions

a year ago my dell xps 400 was blinking a amber light/orange light so i out in the attic until a couple days wanted to fix it.I didn't know what the problem was until i read that said its the power supply so I'm getting one but i want to make it extremely faster any thought?

A solid state drive would increase ALL performance by writing and reading data faster, so your computer can spend more time processing instead of fetching data. It would make your dell as fast as a modern pc, while not spending hundreds. Also, there really isn't any other upgrade that will make much of a difference besides an SSD. Its the best choice!
