DELL DIMENSION 2400 BURNER DRIVE CONFIG

Hello,
I NEED HELP BAD!I INSTALLED A 2ND CD/DVD BURNER AND NOW MY COMPUTER IS SAYING "0 PRIMARY SLAVE DRIVE AND 1 PRIMARY SLAVE DRIVE NOT FOUND" WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

Did you check the little jumpers on the back of the two drives, one should set to master ( normally the one at the end of the cable ) and the other as slave.

if your connecting the burner to the same cable as the hdd, then make sure the hdd is set as master, but in reality, you should never have a hdd and burner on the same cable as this can effect the performance of the hdd.


P.S, USING CAPITALS IS CLASSED AS SHOUTING AND BAD ETIQUETTE !!
