A friend accidentally knocked over the system tower of my Dell Dimension 4100. We picked it up and it seemed to be working (it never turned off when it fell). We shut it down that night but the next day we couldn't get it to start. When you press the power button, the CD drives flash amber lights and the green light under the power button goes on. The fans on the power supply and over the cpu go on and the little green light on the mother board goes on. But, the diagnostic lights stay off completely and after a minute or so, the green light under the power button goes out. However, the light on the motherboard stays on as do the fans.
I've tried removing and reinstalling all peripheral boards and the memory. I removed and reseated the primary hard drive cable. I removed and reinstalled the battery (which tested good) as well as temporarily moving the configuration jumper and then setting it back. I tried plugging it in with no boards, no memory, etc. Nothing happens. No beeps, no diagnostic lights.
Any ideas what's wrong?
