I am currently trying to revive my good friends old Dell Dimension 5150. We believe it is the power button but have no way to prove it. The motherboard's green light turns on and remains on when everything is plugged in properly. I have swapped the PSU out with my EVGA 1300W superNOVA and the same thing happens. The original PSU turns on when 24-pin is jumped so we know it isn't the PSU itself. The issue is that because the motherboard is so old school, it doesn't have the two pin connectors for pwr_sw or any of the other connectors that new mobo's have standard. All it has is the Foxconn 40-pin front panel port. Any idea if there is another way to jump start it or do we need to out-source a new front panel starter button.
