dell dimension motherboard

I recently replaced the motherboard on a Dell Dimension 2400 and I'm almost ready to do a "smoke test" on it. However, I ended up with a small little "heat sink" that appears to be attachable only with thermal paste. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this part and what it's purpose is..

Likely a heatsynk for a motherboard VRM. Check out the link below. It won't show you where it goes on your specific board, but will give you an example. They just stick on...
