Hey, I was just wondering if this monitor is a good monitor for gaming and stuff. The pricepoint is pretty nice but that could be because it sucks, then again maybe not. Has anyone used this monitor?

No i haven't. But I just bought it. I believe this LCD is used in many other products but Dell had best price on any 22in wide that uses this. I read many reviews on it and in general they say that this monitor is not the best gaming monitor, but is a good monitor in general.

But as a low-budget gamer I bought it anyhow. If you want to get a 22in and get a better gaming monitor plan on spending another 100$ at least, to get the best gaming monitor plan on spending another 200-300$.

Actually I've been researching monitors very thoroughly the past few days and from what I can see this is a good gaming monitor. Both prad.de and digitalversus.com did some testing for input lag and got really low numbers. Low input lag = good for gaming (especially fast paced first person shooters)

Key features for a gaming monitor:

-at least 75hz vertical refresh rate (do some searches, try to figure out if the monitor allows a high resfresh rate at decent resolutions)

-low input lag: less than 20ms (it can be hard to find reliable data on input lag, check sites like tftcentral.com prad.de digitalversus.com)

Cheers
