Dell e510 motherboard processor

I have a dell e510 with a smithfield Pentium d 820 2.8ghz processor. Can I upgrade to a core 2 processor in this machine?

I have an E520, but the E510 is an older model with an older chipset. You may or may not beleive its true but your mobo is a modified 945G. You can't upgrade past a Presler Pentium D.
