Hi all,
I have a Dell E520 PC with all original components. I'm looking to fit a HD4670 (which I am led to believe is the best card I can fit due to my PSU) but am concerned as the DDR4 version takes up 2 slots.

Has anyone fitted one of these cards into an E520? Does it fit without additional modification?

Thanks for the help!

That's a mini-BTX system. You can't use the GDDR4 version because it needs two slots, but due to the BTX design the top slot will be blocked by the motherboard itself. You're gonna have to get a single slot card.

So presumably a DDR3 version of the same HD4670? Is that the best card likely to work (if you know)?

Actually the 1GB versions are slower than the 512MB versions simply because the 1GB version has lower memory clocks. Thus the slow memory speed prevents the extra RAM from allowing a meaningful advantage. Just get the 512MB and make sure it has the 2000MHz RAM seed and 750 core speed as some of the cheaper ones are clocked lower.
