Dell E5430

Hello,

I have problem with laptop Dell E5430

The thing is that when laptop is plugged into the power i am able to do
everything that i want but when the laptop is unplugged for few mins
and then i turn it on - it resets BIOS settings and messes up the time
so it has to be cmos battery right ?

If you agree that it has to be battery my question is, is it possible
to just replece only battery from that laminate with 2 pins ?
or i have to buy the "whole" cmos battery with 2 cable pins.

on the dell site it says "The coin-cell battery is a 3 V CR2032 lithium coin cell"

thanks for all the answers.

Yes. You can try and use a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch the heatshrink, then replace the battery and the use a heatgun to reshrink the heatshrink but it's best to just replace the CMOS battery with the 2 pins. Don't bother soldering the battery on unless you want to explode the battery.
