So I picked up a E6510 from someone and it was running 4gb of DDR3 at 532 MHz. It was really killing the system so I bought a pair of Kingston Hyper X 4gb 1600 MHz DDR3. It recognizes it in bios and it will go to loading windows 7 screen but it cycles back to post screen. Can anyone help.

Solution
Check for a BIOS update, but DRAM may well not be compatible, they seldom update laptop BIOSs to be compatible with higher end DRAM and depending on your CPU 1066 may be the max it can handle

1| You should make sure your BIOS is up to date.
2| According to your product spec's sheet the highest frequency your rams will undergo when in your unit will be DDR3 1066MHz or 1333MHz depending entirely upon the processors' memory controller.
3| The best you would get is having all of your recognized but running at said 1066MHz at worst or at 1333MHz at best.

Might I ask if your Windows 7 OS is 64bit or 32bit?
