Dell FX160 power button flashing YELLOW no further response. No diagnostic lights. 12VDC ok.

I have two Dell FX 160 thin clients. And I am looking for testpoints on the motherboard to check the voltages. I cannot exchange the boards for new ones.

Number one:
While a blue blinking power button light tells me the unit is asleep this one
has a YELLOW-blinking power button light, while the power on the single 12VDC connector (2x12VDC yellow+2xGND black) is 12.01VDC.
As I suspect onboard power distribution that generates all required voltages
(1.2VDC@4A for the processor, 5VDC for USB) from the single 12VDC power supply.
Any pointer to a power diagram is welcome.

Number two:
Boots, indicates no problem but has NO network.
The software recognizes the network card, tells that is allright but the lights on the network connector stay off.
Again any hint to a solution is welcome.

1. (blinking amber light) Try unplugging it for ten seconds and plug it back in. If this does not work it is most likely a bad power supply that needs to be replaced

2. (No network) sounds like ether the patch cable is bad or the drop on the wall is bad. I would test it buy plugging the drop into a laptop and see if the connector lights come on. If the drop is not working you would have to go check your switch to see if the port is even hot

That does not do the trick for me. The single 12VDC power supply is OK. I think that the capacitors of the bucket converters need maintenance. The single 12VDC is converted to 5VDC and 1V2VDC onboard.

That does not do the trick for me. The same patch cable works with the rest of the world, and with the other FX160 before it started blinking yellow!
