Question Dell G3 15 3500 Memory Config?

So I bought a refurb laptop. It says 8GB ram. I bought an 8GB stick of basic Crucial 3200 MHZ Ram, which should work, it's clockable down to the Dell's fitted 2933 MHZ RAM. I'n not techie in any way and the service manual shows it's a pain to get ram. How do I find out if there's 1x8 GB or 2x4GB configuration without opening it? I have the feeling it might have 2x4 fitted. I don't want to open the Ram if I need to send it back. Do Dell normally leave a free slot in case of upgrades, or would they sooner fill both slot's with equal amounts? Dell's chatbots say the service tag has been voided, and won't tell me. Or can I d/l an app that will tell me?

Task mgr perf/mem shows the number of slots and how many are in use.
