'Ey guys. So I bought this Dell GX270 a while back, it's a desktop PC, it worked fine for the last 9 years or so. I added a ATI Radeon AGP card on it. Ran smooth, then the on board sound card went poof. I bought another one and plugged it in. It ran fine. Then one day, the drive gets a virus attack, I get it wiped and install it back in. Clean everything inside the box, wiping the RAMs and AGP and sound cards. I plug it in. The orange light on the motherboard comes up. I press the Power Button but nothing happens. It doesn't even blink. There's no "Amber" light flashing or anything. Simply Nothing. It's done this for the first time. I need help

An orange light on the motherboard means some sort of hardware failure or power...

An orange light on the motherboard means some sort of hardware failure or power malfunction...you might have screwed something up while you were "cleaning and wiping" the RAM and other thing. Try a different power supply, it might just be a coincidence that your PSU went out while you were cleaning and other things.

Let me know if that works.

I think I didn't quite explain myself there. "There's no "Amber" light flashing or anything".
The Orange light on the motherboard which indicates that I am infact getting power is on. But, when I press the power button, NOTHING happens at all. I ripped the casing off and exposed the power button which has this ribbon cable connected to it. I pressed the button and it still doesn't respond. My guess is that either it's a faulty cable or the power button assembly's gone.

That "orange" light is supposed to be green, it's orange because you're not getting correct power. My answer still stands, try a new power supply.
