I have a dell 5720 laptop. I attempted to change hard drive to Samsung 850 evo ssd. Samsung data migration did not work, nor did ease Us disk copy. The ssd shows up in boot menu and I made sure it was 1st in boot order but it will not boot. If I use windows recovery DVD , it asks for a driver but I have no idea which one, Samsung told me sata driver, but that did not work. I think I may need to do a clean install, but will I have the same trouble? I had to order a new windows 7 install disk, as I only had the recovery one that I burned. Do I need a disk from dell? I'm not sure what else I will need to do a clean install. Thanks for any help!

At the very least, you need the LAN or WiFi driver before.
Then, after the install you can go download whatever other drivers you need.
Well, you are trying to boot off a SSD with no OS installed on it. So yes, you will need to install Windows and do a clean install. Also, what is the size of your hard drive (not SSD). Your migration may fail because the hard drive is bigger than the SSD.
