Dell Hard drive Smart Failure

So my dell Desktop is reporting smart failure. so I replaced the drive but the error still persists. Could I have 2 bad drives? Or is this a false positive.

Could be a bad sata cable or sata port on the motherboard. Try swapping them around and enter bios to make sure they are set as boot after the swapping around.
