Dell Inspiron 15 5000 vs Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 14

Can't choose between these two. I'll be using it mostly for photoshop cs6 and HD video editing. No gaming really.

The Dell seems to me like the better choice but I've never owned a Dell so I'm a little wary about build quality and whether it might have more issues than the Lenovo.

As both those tasks are cpu intensive, I would get the dell.

Some effects in both programs can benefit from the GPU in which case the nVidia 940m is the more powerful of the two. But most of the time those programs will be relying on the CPU unless you will be using a lot of special effects.

I would consider the new ThinkPad Yoga 14 which has the Slykake i5-6200u (2.8GHz) CPU which can be bought at BestBuy for $1,000. It comes with a digital pen unlike the Haswell version of the ThinkPad Yoga 14 which may or may not come in handy.

The ThinkPad is smaller an lighter than the Dell which makes it easier to carry it around with you. It also comes with a 256GB SSD, but it may or may not be too small for your needs.
